Admission Notification to the Ph.D. Program in Urdu
Department of Urdu Language & Literature, University of Calcutta
Candidates should apply in prescribed proforma. The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written examination of two hours duration to be held in this Department on : 20th August, 2013.
Last Date for Submission of application - 23rd July, 2013.
Filled up application forms are to be submitted for Examination, Written or interview, to the Head of the Department (Urdu) after payment of Rs.100/- (Rs. One hundred only) only in cash to the University Cash Counter and for this a Challan costing Rs.1/-(Rs. one only) is to be obtained from the cash counter and being endorsed by the Head of the Department .
The list of successful candidates will be displayed in the Notice Board of the Department on : 5th September, 2013 from 12 noon.
Candidates who will appear for the interview must submit a 500 word research proposal or Statement of Purpose (SOP) on the day of interview.
Candidates who have already passed M.Phil/NET/SET/SLET/ Teacher Fellowship need not appear for the written examination and can apply to appear for the interview.
