3rd Edition of FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME on “EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING” April 24th – April 28th, 2013
Venue: Punjab Institute of Technology, Rajpura
Objectives: The major focus of the FDP is on upgrading the teaching, training, and research skills of teachers—especially those teachers who have not had an opportunity to acquaint themselves with recent developments in teaching methods. The programme enables participants to develop competence in research and pedagogy. Preference will be given to those teachers who has less than three years of teaching experience.
CERTIFICATION: Participants who complete the programme satisfactorily will be awarded a certificate of participation.
EDUCATIONAL APPROACH: The FDP relies on a variety of learning settings like classrooms, activity based learning and seminars, and a participatory approach to learning. Other educational methods such as lectures, small group exercises, management games, and presentations are also used Participants are also encouraged to develop.
