The Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges (Association of Combined Entrance Examination) would be conducting the Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination - (CPMEE-2013) on 27th May, 2013 for admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS for the year 2013.
Eligibility Criteria for CPMEE-2013
(i) Age:
Only those candidates who have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2013.
(ii) Qualification and Minimum Marks
(a) MBBS/BDS/BAMS : The candidates must have graduated 10+2, i.e. I.S.C./ Intermediate examination or its equivalent, after a period of 12 years of study. The previous two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized Board / University and must have passed in all the above subjects. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBCs the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination should be 40% in lieu of 50% as for general candidates.
(b) BHMS: The candidates who have graduated 10+2, i.e. I.S.C. / Intermediate examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be eligible.
The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination (XII) and the result is not yet available are also eligible to appear in the Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination but such candidates shall submit the mark sheet of the qualifying examination (XII) on or before the counselling.
If an applicant is inadvertently allowed to take the Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination in violation of the eligibility criteria, of the admitting institutes, he/she cannot, at a later date, use that as a right to claim that he/she meets the eligibility requirements of the institute (s).
