1st IAPT National Student Symposium on Physics

Twenty-first century is the knowledge century. The innovations are supreme. To foster a culture of innovation and creativity among the young students, IAPT has instituted the annual National Student Symposium on Physics. The first in the series is being held in collaboration with Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh. This will provide a national forum to young students to present their new ideas and innovative work at an early stage, which will lead to their growth as creative and original researchers.
The format of the symposium consists of invited talks by experts and oral and poster presentations by the students. In addition, there will be several special lectures by eminent teachers and scientists on topics of current interest.
The undergraduate and postgraduate students with physics background can apply for the symposium latest by January 15, 2013. Registration fee Rs. 300 shall be collected from selected participants. Local hospitality and limited travel support (bus or sleeper class by train) shall be provided to students.
