Direct Second Year Engineering Admission 2012-13

Aspiring B.Tech students can now avail direct second year engineering admission in top colleges of the country by applying for lateral entry. Since diploma in engineering alone is not enough these days to get a decent job, lateral entry in B.Tech is seen as a great option for students to aspire for a better career.

Lateral Entry Scheme is intended to admit meritorious diploma holders to the second year/third semester of the B.Tech courses to acquire a degree in engineering. Lateral entry for diploma holders is promoted by top notch colleges of India, fixed number of seats are allotted for students opting for it. Students entering directly through lateral entry, complete their engineering in 3 years/6 semesters. The exam procedure, the course and the degree everything remains the same for the applying candidates.
