The newly formed national laboratory, the Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR) Dhanbad, is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) was aimed to provide R&D inputs for the entire coal-energy chain from mining to Consumption through integration of the Core Competencies of the two (CFRI & CMRI) premier Coal institution of the country.
Ph.D Program in Sciences
Eligibility The Academy offers exciting opportunities to motivated and talented Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering / Technology/Medicine or B.S (of 4 year duration) or Master’s degree holders with a keen sense of scientific enquiry for pursuing advanced research in frontier areas of Biological, Chemical, Physical and Mathematical Sciences leading to a Ph.D degree.
Ph.D Program in Engineering
Eligibility Candidates with a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Pharmacy with a good academic record who have secured Master’s degree admission based on GATE score or with a Master’s degree in Sciences with a good academic record and with a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or valid CSIR-SRF or equivalent fellowship or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with exceptionally good academic record and having a valid GATE score having keen interest in research in various disciplines in Engineering will be offered Ph.D. in engineering. The areas include but are not limited to Mechatronics, Engineering of Structures, Composites, Fabrionics, Sensors and Micro-systems, Bio-inspired Devices and Systems, Plasmonics, Applied Mathematical/Computational Modeling, Aerospace,Disaster Mitigation against Hazards, Environmental Risk Assessment, Leather Technology, Footwear Science and Engineering, Marine Science and Technology, Glass and Ceramic Engineering, Smart Embedded Systems, etc.
Only online applications will be accepted through http://acsir.res.in from midnight of April 25, 2012 to midnight of May 18, 2012. The applicants shortlisted for Ph.D Programme are required to appear for Written Test/Interview at the respective centres.
