Five Year Integrated Programme B.A. in Social Sciences (3 years) (2012–15) & Masters in Arts (2 years) (2015–17)
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936, as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. At the height of economic depression in the 1930s, the trustees of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust willed to create an institution to train human service professionals to address acute poverty, destitution, unemployment, and other social and economic problems. The Trust invited Prof. Clifford Manshardt of Chicago University to establish the School of Social Work. In the subsequent decades, TISS influenced the direction of social work education and social research in India and Asia.
Bachelor’s Degree In Social Sciences (2012–2015)
Candidates desirous of pursuing the B.A. Social Sciences programme in any of the three campuses it is being offered from will have to appear for a common TISS Bachelors Admission Test (TISS-BAT).
Eligibility Criteria
Students should have passed 12th Class or Intermediate in any subject stream from a recognised Board in one attempt (no compartments).
Candidates who have appeared for their H.S.C final exams and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Final pass result should be produced at the time of joining the programme, if selected.

M.A. in Social Work (2012-2014)
M.A in Ecology, Environment and Sustainable Development (2012-14)
Master of Library and Information Science (M.LIS)
TISS-Masters Admission Test (TISS-MAT):
Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria, apply for the programme online and are found to be eligible upon verification of all the information, will be called for an Entrance Test & Personal Interview. Successful candidates whose names appear in the final admission list will qualify to join the programme.
