Admission to Ph.D Programme
Applications on prescribed Application Form are invited for admission to Ph.D. programme in Plant Sciences, Animal Sciences and Management Studies for the year 2010 - 11.
The applicants should hold Masters Degree with at least 55% marks in the subject or a subject allied to that in which they desire to pursue research OR should hold M. Phil degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks or B Grade on 4 point scale.
Admission will be made through Entrance Test followed by Interview on dates that will be duly notified. Candidates who have passed M. Phil or cleared NET(JRF) / SLET are, however exempted from the test and will be enrolled directly. For admission to Science Departments the applicants must hold a fellowship.
The merit of candidates for selection will be determined by their score in the Entrance Test and the Interview.
Application Forms can be obtained from the Office of Assistant Registrar (Academic Affairs) on payment of Rs. 100/- (Rs. 150/- by post) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, BGSB University, payable at J&K Bank, BGSB University Campus, Rajouri. Forms can also be downloaded from the University Website: www.bgsbuniversity.org. Last Date for submission of Application Forms along with requisi te documents in respective teaching Departments of the University is December 25, 2010.
