United World Colleges SELECTIONS 2010

Applications are invited for September 2010 entry to the United World Colleges situated in UK, Singapore, Canada, Venezuela, USA, Italy, Hong Kong, Swaziland, Norway, India and Costa Rica. Some full and part scholarships are available on the basis of merit at Mahindra UWC India, and only limited scholarships are available at some overseas UWCs. Applicants are required to research United World Colleges and the educational experience they provide, via information on the following web sites: www.uwc.org, www.uwccommindia.net and www.muwci.net.

The United World Colleges -


Provide the opportunity for highly motivated young people from diverse backgrounds to transcend the many boundaries, which divide our world.

Offer a two-year programme leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. This is recognised as equivalent to the completion of grade XII by the Association of Indian Universities.

To apply to any UWC, candidates must

- be of Indian origin.
- must be born between 1st September, 1992 and 29th February, 1995.
- currently be in either grade X or XI.

To obtain an application form, you will need to send a Demand Draft/ cheque payable in Mumbai for Rs.800/- drawn in favour of “The United World Colleges Committee (India)”. To obtain the form by post, send a self-addressed envelope (25 cms x 12 cms) affixed with Rs.50/- stamp to the following address:

Application forms will be issued from 14th September, 2009 until 29th January, 2010 only. Completed applications must reach on or before 15th February, 2010. Late applications will not be accepted. It may be noted that offers are made before Grade X Board results are announced.
