The commencement of sale of MBM and MHROM Application Forms for admission to MBM and MHROM Courses (session 2010-2012) from Calcutta University Sales Counter will be from September 23, 2009
A. Admission Notice forCAT 2009 CANDIDATES in Master in Business Management (MBM) course
Applications are invited from CAT 2009 candidates for admission to MBM Course (2010-2012). It is a University Masters Degree with State Subsidised Course fee and good placement facilities. Only Honours Candidates and/or Graduates with equivalent* degree need apply.
B. Admission Notice forCAT 2009 CANDIDATES in Master in Human Resource and Organisational Management (MHROM) Course
Applications are invited from CAT 2009 candidates for admission to MHROM Course (2010-2012). It is a Self Financed Masters Degree Programme of the Post Graduate Department of Business Management, Calcutta University with good placement facilities. Only Honours Candidates and/or Graduates with equivalent* degree need apply.
For both the courses:

(ii) Admission form may directly be downloaded from the above websites or may be obtained (at Rs. 1000/-) from:
1. the Calcutta University Sales Counter, Asutosh Building, College Street, Calcutta –700 073 (11 AM to 3 PM) from 15.9.2009 to 11.12.2009 &
2. the office of the Department of Business Management, Calcutta University, Alipore Campus, 1 Reformatory Street, Kolkata 700027 (11 AM to 3 PM) from 15.9.2009 to 11.12.2009
(iii) Downloaded application forms are to be submitted to the Office of the Department of Business Management, 1, Reformatory St, Kolkata – 700 027 (Ph: 033-2449-9418) enclosing a Bank Draft for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of “Pro-Vice Chancellor (B.A. & F), Calcutta University”.
(iv) Applications (duly filled in) to be received from 15.9.2009 to 11.12.2009 (12 noon – 3 PM) at the Department office (Alipore Campus, 6th floor).
(v) There are reserved seats for SC/ST candidates as per University Rules.
(vi) Candidate must enclose with the application form a copy of mark sheet of the last examination passed & CAT Registration Number. SC/ST candidates must enclose their caste certificate. Incomplete application is liable to be rejected. Students have to appear in a GD & PI in the month of March 2010 (date to be announced later).
(vii) The Website, www.mbmcu.org at an appropriate time will exhibit the list of candidates eligible for GD & PI and also the provisional final list of selected candidates to both the courses. The Notice Board of the Department will also exhibit such lists. No candidate appearing for GD & PI or provisionally selected will personally be communicated.
(viii) Mandatory Declaration as per “Clause 7” of ‘MOU’ between IIM & Non-IIM Institute for use of CAT- 2009 scores
“Our institute uses CAT for short-listing the candidates for our Post-graduate Programme (s) in Management. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme”.
*The Minimum qualifications for admission to the Courses is (i) Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) system with Honours in Arts/Science/Commerce etc. (ii) “Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering & Technology / Medical Science / Professional Courses/ or its equivalent from any recognized University”.
