In continuation to this office letter No-7463-7712/R&S dated 10-06-2009 under which the instructions for admission to various courses during the session 2009-10 was issued to various colleges affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh.
In this connection, it is to inform you that the Syndicate at its meeting held on 06-09-2009 has resolved as under:-
(1) The candidates securing less than 20% marks in the subject of compartment of the +2 examination held in March 2009 be made eligible to join B.A./B.Sc./B.Com courses during the session 2009-10 if they cleared their compartment subject/s in the Supplementary Examination held in July/ August/ September 2009, on or before the last date for admission with late fee with the permission of the Vice-Chancellor given in the admission schedule provided the seat/s is/ are available; and
(2) The letter issued by the R&S Branch to certain Principals with the following contents be treated as withdrawn:
This is to inform to that those students who have got less than 20% marks in the subject of compartment/s held in March, 2009 and cleared their compartment subject/s in the Supplementary Examination held in July 2009 are not eligible to seek admission in B.A./B.Sc.-I as per regulation 4.2 (ii) at page No-41 of Calendar Volume-II, 2007.
(3) The last date for admission with late fee with the permission of Vice-Chancellor has been extended upto 15-09-2009.
