Application in prescribed forms are invited for admission into the:
1. *Master of Arts (M.A.) in – Anthropology, Assamese, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Sociology and Statistics. Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subjects with minimum 45% marks in major or minimum 50% marks in the subject and 45% marks in aggregate in case of pass course candidates.
2. *Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Anthropology, Applied Geology, Chemistry, Geography, Life-Sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics. Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subjects with minimum 45% marks in major or minimum 50% marks in the subject and 45% marks in aggregate in case of pass course candidates.
3. Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology, Eligibility: Bachelor degree of any recognized University/ Institution in Physical Science/ Biological Science/ Agricultural Science/ Veterinary Science/ Medical Sciences/ B.Tech/ B. Pharm/ Biotechnology.
4. Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Bioinformatics, Eligibility:Graduate from any recognized University or institute in Biological Sciences, Veterinary Science, Agriculture Science, Medical Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering or those who have appeared in the final examination of any of these, Further, the Science Graduate must have at least two of the subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
5. *Master of Commerce (M.Com) in Finance and Marketing. Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subjects with minimum 45% marks in specialty or minimum 50% marks in the subject and 45% marks in aggregate in case of general course candidates.
6. *Master of Education (M.Ed) Recognized by the NCTE. Eligibility: 50% marks at the B.Ed/B.T. Examination.
7. *M.Tech in Petroleum Exploration & Production,Eligibility: B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering or M.Sc. in Geology or Geophysics.
8. *M.Tech in Petroleum Geology, Eligibility: M.Sc. in Geology securing at least 55% marks.
9. *Master of Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.), Eligibility:B.L.I.Sc. with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
10. *5-Year Integrated M.Sc. in Physics, Eligibility: H.S. or any equivalent 10+2 Exam in Science stream passed with minimum 45% in aggregate.
11. *B.A. (Performing Arts), Eligibility: H.S. or any equivalent 10+2 Exam passed.
12. *Bachelor of Library & Information Science (B.L.I.Sc.), Eligibility:Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks in major or in aggregate.
13. *Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in: (i) Atmospheric Science, Eligibility: M.Sc./ M.Tech in Physics/Geo-Physics/Mathematics or Chemistry (with Physics in UG level) securing minimum 45% marks; (ii) Telecommunications, Eligibility: B.Sc./B.E./M.Sc. in Physics or Electronics with minimum 45% marks in major or in aggregate; (iii) Petroleum Exploration & Geophysics, Eligibility: M.Sc. in Applied Geology/Geology/Physics/Mathematics or B.Tech in Civil Engineering passed with minimum 55% in Aggregate.
14. Post Graduate Diploma in: (i) Rural Development, (ii) Actuarial Science, (iii) Journalism & Mass Communication, (iv) Tea Technology & Plantation Management, (v) Finance, (vi) Marketing, (vii) Statistical Techniques and Computation, (viii) Electronic Preparation of Mathematical Literature: Eligibility: Bachelor degree in any stream with minimum 40% marks in major and 45% marks in aggregate.
15. *Post Graduate Certificate Course in: (i) Creative Writing, Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline. (ii) Women Studies, Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline with minimum 40% marks in Major or in Aggregate.
Application form along with the Information Brochure can be obtained on payment of Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three hundred) only from the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Dibrugarh University on a payment of Rs.300/- (Rupees Three hundred) only in the University Cash Counter. Request for supply of forms by post must be accompanied by a self-addressed stamped (of Rs. 35/-) envelope of (28 x 12) cms along with a Bank Draft of Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of “REGISTRAR, DIBRUGARH UNIVERSITY” payable at STATE BANK OF INDIA, DIBRUGARH UNIVERSITY BRANCH (Code No. 2051). The University authorities will however not be responsible for non-delivery/late delivery of forms sent by post. Application forms downloaded from the website -www.dibru.ac.in should be accompanied by a draft of Rs. 300/- as per particulars mentioned above.

Last date of receipt of completed forms by the Head of the Department/ Directors of the Centre for Studies concerned is 10.07.2009.
List of selected candidates will be notified in the respective Departments/Centre for Studies by20.07.2009.
Entrance/Admission Test, wherever is applicable, shall be held by 20.07.2009. Selected candidates will not be intimated individually.
Admission will be completed by 30.07.2009.
Classes will commence from 03.08.2009.
