Notification for Admission to M.E. /M.Tech./M.Arch. courses in Karnataka for the year 2009-2010

Pursuant to the issue of Government Notification no. ED 38 TEC 2009 for admission to M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. courses for the year 2009-2010, the Karnataka PGCET-2009 is being conducted under the supervision of Central Post Graduate Admission Committee (CPAC) for the purpose of determining merit of both Karnataka and Non-Karnataka candidates for admission to Full Time and Part Time, M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. Courses offered by University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bangalore - Bangalore University), University BDT College of Engineering, Davangere, Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Mathematics and Computer Science - Kuvempu University, and Department of studies in Computer Science -University of Mysore and PG Departments, Regional Centres & Extension Centres of VTU & institutions affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University for the year 2009-2010.

How to Apply: The application form is available in websites www.vtu.ac.in & http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in. completely filled application along with the following documents are to be enclosed

1. Attested photocopies of all the relevant documents (Candidates should not send the original documents).

2. A D.D. for Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- only for Karnataka SC/ST & Cat- I, on production of documentary) drawn in favour of Member Secretary CPAC, payable at Belgaum .

Admission Procedure : 1) For NON-GATE candidates only: Written test will be conducted on 05-07- 2009 (Sunday) from i) 11.00 am. To 1.00 p.m. for VTU, UBDTCE and UVCE M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. courses and ii) 2.00 pm. To 4.00 pm., for PG Department of Kuvempu University and University of Mysore M.E./ M.Tech. courses, at various centers as specified in the brochure.

2) GATE candidates with valid GATE score are given preference for admission. They have to apply by downloading the application form along with prescribed fee; however they are exempted from appearing for the written test.

Important Dates:

1) The Application forms are available on websites www.vtu.ac.in and http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in from 11-05-2009 to 10-06-2009

2) Completed application forms addressed to The member Secretary CPAC & Registrar, VTU, Belgaum “Jnana Sangama” Belgaum – 590 018 must reach on or before 10-06-2009

3) Entrance test will be Conducted on 05-07-2009 (Sunday)

4) Last date for submission of marks cards to PGCET Cell in case of final year results awaited – 31-07-2009.
