Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), a research-led university, was established in 2007 by an Act of Gujarat State Legislature. The University is promoted by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) as a unique public-private educational and research initiative. PDPU aims to be a leading global University to develop the knowledge of science, technology, management and environment for the advancement of quality of life of mankind in general, and in relation to the domains of gas and energy in particular. The University has strong support and association with oil & gas and allied energy industry including GSPC Group, Reliance, ONGC, GAIL, HPCL, BPCL, IOCL, Gujarat Gas, Schumberger and Halliburton, to name a few.
Selected Candidates as per the Ph.D programme shall be entitled for
• Research & Teaching Assistantship of Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 25,000/- per month.
• Professional Development Assistantship of Rs. 15,000/- & Rs. 20,000/- per annum for
knowledge enrichment
• Professional Development Assistantship upto Rs. 1,00,000/- for presenting research
papers at National/International conferences.
The Ph.D Programme is Fully Residential Programme.
Interested and Eligible candidates may apply with demand draft of Rs. 2000/- in favour of “Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University” payable at Ahmedabad.
Eligibility:
• For candidates with Science background:
Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Geology, Applied Geology, or Applied Chemistry, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI, and a valid GATE score or NET qualification.
• For candidates with Engineering background:
a) M.Tech degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI,
OR
b) B.Tech degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline with minimum of 65% marks or equivalent CPI s and a valid GATE score.
• For candidates with Management background:
Master's degree in Management / Engineering / Science / Social Sciences / Commerce or Humanities with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI s.
• For candidates with Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences:
Master’s degree in Humanities, Arts or Social Science with a minimum of minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CPI, and a valid NET qualification. Candidates must submit with their application a statement of their research interest.
