Admission Notice 2009-10
Applications are invited on the prescribed form for admission to the following undergraduate programmes for the Academic Session 2009-10 from the domiciles of Himachal Pradesh only.
I. B Sc (Honours) in Horticulture and B Sc (Honours) in Forestry 4-year programme through Entrance Examination to be conducted at Solan and Palampur on 21st June, 2009.
Eligibility
10+2/equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics/Agriculture of a recognized Board/University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST) in the above subjects.
II. B Sc (Honours) in Horticulture 5-year Programme (Admission to this Programme shall be made on the basis of merit of marks obtained at 10+2 level and there shall be no Entrance Test).
Eligibility
10+2 with English and Vocational courses in Horticulture/Food Preservation and Processing from H.P. Board of School Education only with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of SC/ST) in the above subjects
The candidates appearing in the 10+2 examination with above subjects during March, 2009 are also eligible to apply for admission to the aforesaid Programmes.
Some seats under B Sc (Honours) in Horticulture/Forestry 4-year Programmes are also available as Self-financing seats. These candidates are exempted from Entrance Test.

Self-financing Seats

With Late Fee of Rs.100/- 24.7.2009
PROSPECTUS CUM APPLICATION FORM for admission will be available from the Registrar, Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP) 173 230 on payment of Rs 700/- (Rs 500/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) in cash at counter or by sending bank draft worth Rs 750/- (Rs 550/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) payable at State Bank of Patiala, Nauni/UCO Bank, Nauni in the name of the Comptroller of the University. The application form can also be downloaded from the University website www.yspuniversity.ac.in and sending a bank draft worth Rs.700/- (Rs 500/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) with the form.
Note:
“Ragging in all its forms is totally banned in the University, and any one found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging is liable to be punished appropriately”.
