ADMISSION TO M.B.A. (MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION- TWO-YEAR) COURSE, 2009-2011 Application forms along with Prospectus can be obtained from the Office of the Secretary, Gauhati University Publication Department (GUPD) from 15th December 2008 on payment of Rs.150/- (One hundred fifty) only in cash or Bank Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, Gauhati University payable at SBI, Gauhati University Branch. Request by post must be accompanied by a selfaddressed envelope with Postage Stamp of Rs. 25/-(Twenty five) only. The application forms for admission may also be downloaded from the website at www.gauhati.ac.in. In that case a Bank Draft of Rs.150/-(One hundred fifty) only each in favour of Registrar, G.U. & payable at SBI, G.U. Branch is to be attached along with the filled in application form. An amount of Rs. 350/-(Three hundred fifty)only in cash as fee for the Entrance Test is to be deposited in the Department
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: A Bachelor’s Degree of 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in aggregate or in Honours/Major subject (if any) from the Gauhati University or any other recognized University (not through Distance mode). Those who have appeared in the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree or any equivalent examination may also apply provided they will be able to meet the eligibility condition prior to 31st August, 2009.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
A. Eligible applicant will have to appear in a written test, meant to evaluate their quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, general awareness and proficiency in English, to be conducted by the Gauhati University. All applicants fulfilling the above eligibility criteria may come to the written test to be held on February 15th 2009 at 1.30p.m. . They are to collect their admit cards from the Department of Business Administration, Gauhati University before the written test.
B. Candidates qualifying in the written test will be permitted to appear in the Group Discussion and Interview to be held on 21st, 22nd & 23rd February, 2009. The final selection will be based on the applicant’s overall performance in the written test, group discussion and interview. of Business Administration, G.U. at the time of submission of Admission form. Duly completed Application form accompanied by all testimonials from HSLC onwards should reach the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Gauhati University on or before 10th February 2009. Applications without necessary testimonials and received after the last date will be summarily rejected.
C. Candidates who have appeared in any one of the All India Common Entrance Test-after May 2008 for admission to MBA programme, viz. CAT, MAT, ATMA or XAT and scored marks not less than 75 percentile are exempted from appearing in the written test conducted by Gauhati University. Candidate qualifying in the written test conducted by Gauhati University or a candidate having scored marks not less than 75 percentile in the aforesaid All India Common Entrance Tests shall be permitted to
appear in the Group Discussion and interview for final selection.
FOREGIN STUDENTS: Three additional seats are reserved for foreign students. Foreign students studying in Indian Universities are required to appear in the admission test. In case of foreign students who have not appeared in the test, preference will be given to those who furnish their latest GMAT and TOEFL scores. All foreign students are required to obtain NOC from the Department of Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

i did my graduation in english with 48% and with 52% in aggregrate...in this case can i apply for ur m.b.a programme
