Interdisciplinary School of Scientific Computing will be conducting the Entrance Exam On 1st Feb 2009.
The admissions are done purely on basis of merit in Entrance Exam, which is conducted once a year.
Eligibility for admission:
50% at B.C.S./B.Sc. (Computer Science) (40% for Reserved categories) with all Computer Science Subject in last year and Maths upto Second year
OR
50% at B.E (Computer Science/ IT /E & TC ) (40% for Reserved categories)
Those appearing for final examination may also apply. In case of candidates obtaining equal aggregate marks at entrance examination preference will be given to candidates performing better upto final exam. 50% admissions are reserved for SC/ST/NT/DT/OBC categories and 3% for physically handicapped (as per Govt. rules).
Duly filled forms should be submitted
either in person at : Interdisciplinary School of Scientific Computing, Near Publication Department, University of Pune

by post to : Director, Interdisciplinary School of Scientific Computing,
P.O. Box No. 27, Ganeshkhind Road, University of Pune, Pune 411007
The forms should be accompanied by:
a) Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 350/- in case of reserved categories) drawn in favour of "REGISTRAR, UNIVERSITY OF PUNE"
b) Two self addressed envelopes of 11" x 8" with Rs 10/- stamp on each
c) Caste Certificate (If applicable)
Nature of the Entrance Examination:
The test will be of 2 hours with approximately equal weightage to the following 4 topics.
All questions will be with multiple choice questions.
1) Logical ability
2) Elementary mathematical skills including Calculus, Linear algebra, Graph plotting, Combinatorial analysis, etc.
3) Computer fundamentals and C-programming.
4) English
