MBA & MBA [BE] Admissions: Academic Session 2009-10 (Through CAT 2008)
This is for the information for all concerned that college of Management of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, offering two year full time Masters Degree Programs i.e Master in Business Administration (MBA) & MBA (Business Economics), shall henceforth effect their admissions through Common Admission Test (CAT). The college shall therefore, consider CAT 2008 Score for Admission to the MBA & MBA [BE] Program for the academic Session 2009-10.
Eligibility: The Candidates must hold Bachelor's Degree with atleast 50% or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a recognized Indian University or any other equivalent examination. A candidates who is in the final year of Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification, if selected, will allowed to join the Program provisionally only if he/she submits a certificate latest by June 30, 2009 from the Principal / Registrar of his / her college / institute (issued on or before June 30, 2009) stating that the candidates has completed all the requirements (the results may, however, be awaited) for obtaining the bachelor's degree degree / equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.
How To Apply: Prospectus and Application Form can be obtain on payment of an a/c payee DD of Rs. 1000/- from public Relations Office, 15C, 2nd Extension, Opposite Bahu Plaza, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu 180004, OR from the office of the AR (A&E), SMVDU Campus, Sub Post Office Katra 182320, J&K, India , Or The Form can be downloaded from University website www.smvdu.ac.in and can be submitted along with a DD of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of Registrar, SMVDU, payable at Jammu. The Students who seek admission in SMVDU need to apply directly to the University.
Seats: All the seats shall be filled on the basis of merit only as per the University norms. The total numbers of seats for the program will be decided by the SMVD University.
Note: (1) The College of Management of SMVD University shall uses the CAT Score 2008 only for short-listing the candidates for admission to two year full time Masters Degree Program in Business Administration (MBA) & Masters Degree Program in business Administration (Business Economics) for the Academic Session 2009-10. (2) IIMs have no Role either in the Selection Process or in the conduct of the program (3) The decision relating to the conducting of CAT and CAT Centers will be taken by IIMs and will be binding on the applicants.
Note: Besides the CAT Score, the final Selection of the candidates shall be mad after considering other components of the selection process as well as the admission norms for the MBA & MBA (BE) Program by SMVD University.
