National Housing Bank
National Housing Bank is the apex financial institution in the country for housing setup under an act of Parliament and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Reserve Bank of India. The Bank is the regulator for housing finance companies as also a significant provider of development finance. The Bank seeks to catalyze institutional funds to reduce housing shortage in the country through various development initiatives particularly rural housing and housing for economically weaker sections in urban areas. Title - ADVISER (Residex)
Terms of Service - CONTRACTUAL, initially for a period of one year, extendable for further period, depending on satisfactory performance, age and continued requirement. Performance will be reviewed after six months.

Job Description -
* To organise collection of data from the housing/ housing finance sector and other agencies,
* To manage collected data, undertake analysis and research,
* To help in timely display, dissemination and publication of NHB Residex Index,
* To build statistical information/data warehouse of NHB on property prices and other topics, as may be decided by Bank,
* To provide ongoing feedback on best practices in Data collection, management and publication in comparable organizations,
* Liaise with Govt. of India, RBI, other banks/FIs, educational/ professional/corporate institutions etc in connection with statistical/economic activities,
* Any other assigned duties, from time to time.
Competencies -
* Good domain knowledge in Statistics/Data management, Should be thorough in Govt/Public Sector practices in the related field,
* Should be familiar with emerging trends in data collection, management and analysis,
* Possess good organizing and management capabilities,
* Pleasant disposition and good inter personal skills,
* Have good bearing and presence and be able to interact effectively with senior functionaries within and outside Bank,
* Be able to easily adapt to changing situations and work well with peers in a demanding environment,
* Be able to work long hours and to short deadlines,
* Possess good oral and written communication skills,
* Be able to work independently on personal computers.
Qualification - Graduate in Statistics or Mathematics with minimum 50% marks or equivalent from a recognized institute/university. Post-Graduation/ M. Phil in relevant fields would be an additional qualification.
Experience -
Post-qualification experience of about 15 years in Government/ University/ Research Institute/ Private/Public Sector Institution/ bank/financial institution of repute out of which about 7 years experience in areas related to Quantitative research work, Management of data collection, analysis, projections, data mining, display and dissemination. Experience with collection of data related to housing/housing finance sector and/or compilations on price indices would be highly preferred.
Age - Should not exceed 62 years as on 01/10/2008, Relaxable in exceptional cases, subject to good fitness.
Remuneration - Consolidated Monthly Gross Emoluments of Rs. 30,000/-. (For candidates found exceptionally suitable, higher emoluments may be considered).
Benefits - Other Benefits would include Conveyance/Vehicle Allowance and telephone reimbursement.
