National Housing Bank
National Housing Bank is the apex financial institution in the country for housing setup under an act of Parliament and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Reserve Bank of India. The Bank is the regulator for housing finance companies as also a significant provider of development finance. The Bank seeks to catalyze institutional funds to reduce housing shortage in the country through various development initiatives particularly rural housing and housing for economically weaker sections in urban areas. The Bank is expanding its team to undertake above tasks with suitable professionals on regular and contact employment.

Title - ADVISER (Planning & Budgeting)
Terms of Service - CONTRACTUAL, initially for a period of one year, extendable for further period/s, depending on satisfactory performance, age and requirement. Performance will be reviewed after six months.
Job Location - NHB Headquarters at NEW DELHI
Job Description -
To collect data/information from various operations departments/ offices, consolidate the data and prepare budget for the Bank,
Review performance versus approved budget at prescribed intervals,
Collect data/information from various operations departments/ offices, consolidate, analyse and prepare MIS for the Management,
Prepare reports on Bank's performance for the Board/ Committee of the Board/Top Management,
Analyse, collate, put up and monitor consolidated data/ information from Returns received from Representative Offices,
Assist in implementation of new Planning/Budgeting/MIS initiatives,
Organise conferences of Senior management on Bank's performance and …….
Assist Board Secretariat in matters connected with Bank's performance, accounts etc.
Coordinate with Government of India, RBI, other banks/FIs, Educational/ professional/corporate institutions etc. in connection with budgeting/MIS matters,
Any other duties assigned, from time to time.
Competencies -
Good domain knowledge in planning/budgeting/MIS practices,
Should be thorough in Govt/Public Sector bank/undertaking procedures in the related field,
Have ability to prepare memoranda for Top management and Board independently,
Possess good organizing and management capabilities,
Pleasant disposition and good inter-personal skills,
Have good bearing and presence and be able to interact effectively with senior functionaries within and outside the Bank,
Be able to easily adapt to changing situations and work well with peers in a demanding environment,
Be able to work long hours and to short deadlines,
Possess good oral and written communication skills,
Be able to work independently on personal computers.
Qualification - Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institution/University.
Experience - Officer with minimum 15 years in any commercial Bank/FI, reputed public sector/central Government undertaking or any large corporate/ institution with about 5 years experience in Planning, Budgeting and/or Management Information System (MIS) area.
Age - Should not exceed 62 years as on 01/10/2008, Relaxable in exceptional cases, subject to good fitness.
Remuneration - Consolidated Monthly Gross Emoluments of Rs. 30,000/-. (For candidates found exceptionally suitable, higher emoluments may be considered).
Benefits - Other Benefits would include Conveyance/Vehicle Allowance and telephone reimbursement.
