SMVDU, a technical University of J&K legislature is a fully residential institution set up on the pattern of IITs. The University has established 12 Academic Schools to impart UG, PG and Ph.D. level education. Applications are invited for admission to its Ph.D. program in the following areas:-
Specialization:
College of Management: Management & Economics.
School of Industrial Biotechnology: Plant Biotechnology & Bioinformatics.
School of Physics: Atomic & Molecular Physics.
School of Mathematics: Mathematics.
School of Languages: English Language and Literature.
School of Philosophy & Culture: Indian & Western Philosophy.
Eligibility: Min of 60% marks at PG level. Preference shall be given to students who are UGC Net / SLET / GATE qualified.
Selected students will be offered a minimum assistantship of Rs.8000/- p.m. and against which a weekly work of 10 hrs in addition to their academic work is essential. Sponsored candidates from industry and other organizations may also apply.
