Applications are invited from the desirous candidates for one years "DIPLOMA COURSE IN HEARING LANGUAGE ANS SPEECH" (DHLS) in Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla in Collaboration with All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore (Karnataka) through Distance Education. This Course is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India. The application on prescribed form is reach in the Office of Principal, I.G., Medical College, Shimla by 20.08.2008 where after no application shall be entertained.

Note: In Case more applications from eligible candidates are received, the reservations roster shall apply.
Eligibility: A citizen of India
Qualification: A Candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination of recognized University or Board with Science i.e. (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics and English) or equivalent qualification with 45% marks for general Candidates and 40% marks in case of Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe/OBC candidates. Preference will be given to the candidates working in Institution or with organization associated with relevant disabilities or Children or Parents/Siblings of those suffering from disabilities including Government employees. However, these candidates have to produce the relevant certificate from the concerned organization in support of their claim.
Application Form: The Brochure containing detailed information and application form will be available in the office of Principal, I.G, Medical College Shimla (Academic Branch) w.e.f 04.08.2008 on payment of Rs. 50/- on counter and if required by post, the application form can be had by sending a postal order / Bank draft in the name of the Principal, I.G, Medical College, Shimla amounting to Rs. 80/-
Selection Process and Interview: The Interview cum-Counseling shall be held on 25.08.2008 in the Office of Principal Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla. The applicant are directed to produced original certificate at the time of interview / Counseling.
