Admission to B.E. (Part Time) Programmes : September 2008
Applications are invited for the admission to Part Time B.E. Programmes (4 years/8 semesters) for the academic session - 2008 starting from September-2008.
The Programmes are available in the following disciplines:
(1) Civil Engineering (Intake 60)
Eligibility: Diploma in Civil Engineering
(2) Chemical Engineering (Intake 60)
Eligibility: Diploma in Chemical Engineering
(3) Computer Science and Engineering (Intake 60)
Eligibility: Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology
(4) Electrical Engineering (Intake 60)
Eligibility: Diploma in Electrical Engineering
(5) Mechanical Engineering (Intake 60)
Eligibility: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
* Three years Diploma with first class or minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 (on 10 point scale). Both, in service engineers as well as non serving/fresh diploma holders are eligible to apply.
Reservation: The reservation of seats will be as per Govt. of India guidelines at the time of admission.
How to apply: The eligibility criteria and other details along with blank application forms can be obtained from the Deputy Registrar (Academics) either in person during the working hours or by sending a written request in a self addressed stamped (Rs.10/-) envelope superscribed 'Request for B.E. (Part Time) Application Form'. The application form can be down-loaded from the Institute Website www.nitj.ac.in also. Application form, duly filled, together with a crossed demand draft of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates) towards application cum registration fee drawn in favour of Director, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar-144011 payable at Jalandhar should reach Deputy Registrar (Academics), Deputy Registrar (Academics), Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, P.O. NIT Campus, Jalandhar 144 011, latest by August 08, 2008 (5 PM). No late application will be considered. In service candidates should forward their applications through proper channel.
For admission to these programmes, the selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of percentage of marks in Diploma Exam., experience and interview. The personal interview (compulsory) will be conducted on 18.08.2008 in the Central Seminar Hall of the Institute. The selected candidates will be required to deposit the fee and other charges (for fee structure and other information pl. refer to institute website www.nitj.ac.in on the same day.
