Admission to Post-Graduate Programme (M Sc) in Concrete and Structural Engineering
Jointly with University of Dundee, Scotland, UK
Applications are invited for admission to two-year full time Post-Graduate Programme in the specialization of Concrete and Structural Engineering for the academic session 2008-09. The programme is being offered jointly with the University of Dundee, Dundee, Scotland, UK. The admitted students will pursue first year of their study at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar and the second year at the Concrete Technology Unit, Division of Civil Engineering, University of Dundee, Scotland, UK
Eligibility: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology with a first class or minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5) or equivalent. Candidates in their final year of bachelors degree are also eligible to apply. Candidates sponsored by Government/Semi Government Organizations/ Technical Institutes/Industries/R & D Organizations/National Laboratories having above mentioned academic qualifications and with more than two years of teaching / professional experience are also eligible.
Financial Support by University of Dundee: The University will offer fee waiver of 5000pounds or 50% of the overseas tuition fee pertaining to the programme (whichever is greater) to the admitted students, during second year of study.
Selection: Selection will be based on the performance in a written examination to be held on 09.07.2008 in the Department of Civil Engineering.
How to apply: The application form can be downloaded from the institute website www.nitj.ac.in. Application form duly filled accompanied by self-attested Photostat copies of the relevant certificates /testimonials, alongwith a crossed demand draft of Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates) towards application cum registration fee drawn in favour of Director, Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar payable at Jalandhar should reach Deputy Registrar (Academics) by due date. The application performa can also be obtained from the Deputy Registrar (Academics) in person during the working hours
Applications complete in all respects must reach with Deputy Registrar (Academics), Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, P.O.NIT Campus, Jalandhar 144 011, latest by May 30, 2008.
