The Great Mind Challenge 2008: The The Great Mind Challenge contest is a National Software Project development contest open for students of Engineering, MCA and other IT related courses in Colleges across India.

Brief of Steps to follow in order to Enroll / Register:

(2) Click on the Register tab at the bottom of the page or in the right hand panel.
(3) Register as a team.
(4) Team registration and projects scenario can be changed through the "Change profile help" at www.tgmc.in
(5) After Registration is submit a confirmation mail with user name, password and an activation link will reach all team members on the email ids mentioned in the team registration form.
(6) The team registration will be come active upon clicking the activation link received by any one of the team members.
(7) Thereafter all team members can login using this user ID & Password
(8) students who have registered last year have to register again.
(9) No separate faculty registration required this year.

(1) DB2 9 Express 'C'/DB2 UDB 8.2
(2) Websphere Application Server
(3) Relational Unified Process, Relational Application Developer, Relational Rose, Relational Software Architect, Websphere Studio Application Developer
(5) Lotus Portal, Workplace Forms
(6) Tivoli Storage Manager Express, Tivoli Continues Data Protection for Files
To Develop the application kindly make use of multiple products. One needs to start with RUP to plan the project effectively. Eclipse should be used to do the coding in JAVA, DB2 Express C with XML should be used to store and manage the database effectively. WAS CE should be used to host the application. Kindly spend some time in understanding the way WAS CE should be configured and managed for better productivity, and finally do not forget to use TSM to manage the backend database effectively. Once you have all these products to develop the complete application, your overall understanding of different software tools and their usage for a high end solution development will get enhanced and should be of immense help to any organization you decide to work for.
