3. M.Sc. Nursing:- a) Duration: 2 academic years b) Date of Entrance Examination: 14th June, 2008 (Saturday) in Delhi only.
4. B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Certificate):- [10 seats +10 seats for AIIMS departmental candidates] a) Duration: 2 academic years b) Date of Entrance Examination: 26th June, 2008 (Thursday) in Delhi only.
5. B.Sc. (Hons.):- [50 seats] a) Duration: 4 academic years b) Date of Entrance Examination: 22nd June, 2008 (Sunday) in Delhi and Thiruvananthapurm.
6. B.Sc. (Hons.) Para-Medical Courses viz.:- i) B.Sc (Hons.) Ophthalmic Techniques - 12 Seats. ii) B.Sc. (Hons.) Medical Technology in Radiography - 6 Seats (+1 seats for AIIMS departmental candidates) a) Duration: 3 academic years b) Date of Entrance Examination: 8th June, 2008 (Sunday) in Delhi only.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
1. M.Sc. Course in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Pharmacology, Physiology:- The candidate must possess a degree of M.B.B.S / B.D.S. and have secured at least 55% marks (50% for SC / ST candidates) or B.V.Sc. / B.Pharma/ B.Sc. Degree courses (3 years) with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

2. M.Sc. Perfusion Technology & M.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology:-
i) M.Sc. Perfusion Technology: B.Sc with Biology or B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST Candidates).
ii) M.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology: B.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine or B.Sc. with Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics or B.Sc. in aided related subject i.e. Radio-diagnosis (MRT) Radiotherapy or B.Sc. in Life Sciences with Physics as a main subject from recognized University with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

3. M.Biotechnology the candidates must possess a degree or M.B.B.S / B.D.S. and have secured at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) or (50% for SC/ST candidates) or B.V.Sc / B.Pharma / B.Sc. degree course (3 years) with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)

4. M.Sc. Nursing: B.Sc (Hons), B.Sc Nursing (Post-certificate) Post Basic from any recognized university from and educational Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, Candidate must have secured at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination. Registration as Nurse and Midwife with any State Nurses Registration Council.

N.B.: A candidate is NOT allowed to submit more than one application for M.Sc. courses.

5. B.Sc. Nursing (Post certificate): The candidate must have –
A) Passed higher secondary or senior secondary or Intermediate (10+2) examination or an equivalent examination of a recognized Board/University those who have passed 10+1 on or before 1986 are eligible to apply).
B) Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and be an ‘A’ Grade Nurse registered with the State Nurses Registration Council. In case of male nurse, instead to training in Midwifery training for a period of three months each in any two out of the following subjects is necessary (i) Venereal Disease Nursing (ii) Tuberculosis Nursing (iii) Ophthalmic Nursing (iv) Psychiatric Nursing and (v) Operation Theater Techniques
C) Worked for at least 3 years as a Staff Nurse in a recognized Hospital or in Public Health Nursing field after obtaining the above mentioned certificates

6. B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing: The candidate must have passed 12th class under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing not less than 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in these subjects. Only female candidates are eligible.

7. B.Sc. (Hons) Para-Medical Courses: The candidate must have passed 12th class under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics securing not less than 50% marks (45% in case of SC / ST) in aggregate in these subjects.

NOTE: Candidates who are appear in 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination in March / April 2008 and whose results are likely to be declared before 1st July 2008 are also eligible to apply for B.Sc (Hons) Nursing and B.Sc. (Hons) Para-Medical courses.

Minimum age:
The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December, 2008.

REQUIREMENT FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS
The eligibility criteria for foreign students will be at par with eligibility criteria as specified for Indian Nationals. However, foreign national candidates are exempted from appearing in the entrance examination. Their admission will be made on the basis of marks/grades secured by them in the qualifying examination. The foreign national candidates are also required to fill in the application form prescribed by the Institute for this purpose. The application form shuld be routed through Diplomatic Channel. Application received directly will NOT be entertained. For more details, they may please go through the Prospectus.

PROSPECTUS-CUM-APPLICATION FORM

There is a common Prospectus-cum-Application Form for all the courses mentioned above. (Only one application has to be submitted for the two Para-Medical courses). The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can be obtained BY SPEED POST / REGISTERED POST by sending a written request along with crossed BANK DRAFT for Rs.550/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST Category) in favour of "M.Sc./B.Sc. Entrance Examination - 2008" payable at New Delhi and it should be valid up to September 2008. Indian Postal Orders, Money Orders, Cheques or Cash will not be accepted for postal sale. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS and with PIN code. AIIMS will not be responsible for delay / non-receipt of Application Form caused by illegible or incomplete address.

Prospectus-cum-Application Form costing Rs.500/- (Rs.400/- in case of SC/ST candidates can also be obtained against CASH PAYMENT from (i) SBI Ansari Nagar (AIMS Campus), New Delhi from 3rd April 2008 to 30th April 2008 and (ii) from SBI Main Branch, M.G. Road, Thiruvananthapuram from 3rd April 2008 to 25th April 2008.

IMPORTANT

(1) Candidates must obtain application forms ONLY from an authorized branch of SBI or by post from Examination Section of AIIMS. Forms obtained from an unauthorized source will be rejected.
(2) Candidates are advised to procure application forms as early as possible. If Application Forms are sold out before the last date of sale and the same are not available, AIIMS / SBI Ansari Nagar or its specified branches(s) will be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to non-availability of forms. If a candidate does not get the form through Post Office in time, AIIMS will not responsible for such lapses.

LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS:
Duly filled in application forms in all respects, should reach Examination Section, All India of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi – 110 029 latest by 5.00 p.m. on 30th April 2008. Applications received thereafter or incomplete in any respect will be rejected.

Note: After the last date, an application received by courier or any other means will not accept, Irrespective of date of booking.
