Admission To 3-year LL.B. Programme 2008
Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law
Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law is the first of its kind to impart legal and IP education within the IIT System bringing synergy among science, technology, management and law. The School offers Six-Semester, Three-Year Full-Time residential LL.B. Programme leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Law with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights with the requirements of the Bar Council of India.
Programme:
Curricula of the Programme has been prepared on the basis of the following:
* Requirement of Bar Council of India: This is necessary for the 3-year LL.B. Programme in order for people completing the Programme being eligible for practicing in the court of law in the Union of India.
Eligibility for Admission to LL.B. Degree in Intellectual Property Rights
First Class Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine or equivalent.
OR
First Class Masters Degree in Science or Pharmacy.
OR
First Class MBA Degree with any of the above
Admission Procedure:
Admission will be a two-step process:
(1) All India written test for entrance to be conducted at Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. The institute reserves the right to cancel/reallocate any of the centres in case of insufficient number of qualifying candidates at a particular centre.
(2) From the list of qualified candidates from the entrance test, the final selection of candidates will be made on the basis of GD/PI at Kharagpur and other centers as may be decided by the Institute from time to time.
(3) Results will be communicated through email.
(4) Fees: Rs. 50,000/semester is the tuition fee.
